In addition, the entire system is housed in a special shock mounted 12 rack unit road case to withstand the toughest field abuse.

When we design our PXB series of stations, our first criteria is reliability under the harshest conditions. Only equipment proven to withstand such an environment is utilized. We need to select the latest and most advanced equipment available, but it needs to be user friendly so the average non-technical or non-broadcast person can operate it! Once that fine balance is met, the equipment is tested and burned-in at full power to assure the reliability you need. 50 WATTS OF COOL RUNNING RF POWER!
The heart of the PXB50 series is the popular Ramsey PX50 FM Stereo Transmitter. The third generation transmitter designed around our broadcast customers requests! In short, it is the FM stereo transmitter that will keep you up and running, period! Operation is simple and intuitive via the front panel navigation switch matrix. All controls and status messages are displayed on the 2 line by 20 character vacuum fluorescent display. Automatic protection circuits are designed to keep you on the air, rather than off. And the extremely efficient quiet forced cooling will keep you running in the hottest environments while remaining quiet enough for a local microphone at the transmitter! And of course, the PX50 is FCC Certified under parts 2, 73, 74.
MULTIPLE CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, CASSETTE, AUX, AND MICROPHONE INPUTS!
Production wise, we took the simplicity of the PXB5006 series to the next level with the PXB5012! We designed it around the Denon professional DNX500 8-channel production mixer. This gives you access 8 matrix assignable program sources, and allows you to cue-up and cross-fade between any source. A professional Tascam CC222SL provides advanced playback of CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, and cassettes, and also provides CD-R and cassette record! Then, to provide an additional optical source, a Tascam CD160MKII is included giving you the flexibility of crossfading between separate CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 discs! Needless to say, multiple microphone and aux sources can be mixed/faded between all sources. This includes quick portable sources like MP3 players, Walkmans, and iPods! We took care of extreme physical environment issues with the custom shock mounted road case. To protect the system from the volatile characteristics of temporary or sub-standard power sources a Furman PLProDEII professional power conditioner is used to distribute power to all rack equipment. Input voltage is displayed on a convenient front-panel LED display to assist in installation!
HIGH PERFORMANCE FM ANTENNA SYSTEM!
There are three important factors to achieve maximum range with your FM broadcast system: antenna, antenna, and antenna! It doesn't get any plainer than that. So we include our extremely popular 3.4dB omnidirectional FMA200 antenna with the package.
This antenna can be easily assembled in the field, and is simple to tune to your operating frequency. And with 3.4dB gain, that effectively doubles your transmit power! The antenna is simple to mount to an existing structure, pole, pipe, tower or building. We also include 100 feet of low loss LMR400 feed line with pre-installed matching connectors that makes your antenna installation a breeze.
DUAL MICROPHONES, CABLES, STANDS, AND HEADPHONES!
To give your station and your broadcast personnel a great sound we include two professional dynamic hand-held microphones with each PXB package. These microphones feature a great cardioid pickup pattern, an on-off switch, a dual stage windscreen, and a custom hard-shell case. Two professional 18' XLR microphone cables are also included as are two professional weighted desk stands and microphone clips.
Two pair of professional Senheiser stereo headphones are also included, giving you everything you need to get two people on-the-air! If desired, a Shure SLX24SM58 UHF wireless microphone system can be added to the blank half-rack mixer panel without taking up any additional rack space!
RUGGED SHOCK MOUNTED ROAD CASE READY TO TRAVEL AND DEPLOY!
The entire station is assembled and prewired in a shock mount12 unit rack case that measures 26" Hx 25.25" Wx 23" D overall. The inside rack case is independently isolated from the outside moulded polyethylene road case by rubber shock absorbers keeping it protected from impacts and rough handling. The cases utilize comfortable recessed side handles for easy transport along with locking front and back covers for added security. All equipment is professional wired, tested, and burned-in to assure the reliability you expect with your station. In short, just plug it in, connect your antenna, and you're on-the-air! We also understand that you may require 230VAC 50Hz operation for use overseas. No problem! We offer the PXB5012 series in both 110/120VAC 60Hz and 220/230VAC 50Hz versions.
