If you have never experimented or used an LCD message display, this kit is for you! You can use this as a stand-alone display that is remotely programmed or as an integral display for one of your own projects! With a very nice supertwist backlit 16 character LCD display, you can provide alphanumeric displays in four display modes.  Display Modes

- Display text messages in a "tickertape" display
There are 8 separate inputs, and each input accepts dry contacts, open collectors or logic levels. The non-volatile EEPROM memory can store up to 9 sixteen character messages! A default message can be displayed to signal that no inputs are active. RS232 interface is based on 2400/N/8/1 with no handshaking to make for a simple interface. Message transfer software is available online to transfer messages from your PC to the message board. Messages can be recalled by a simple pushbutton. This is the perfect kit to get your hands dirty with alphanumeric displays and their control circuits. It's fun, you learn, and you have a really great display when it's built.
