Conventional floor-pedal style effects processors are designed to sound good through your amp, and modeling processors are designed to sound good recording directly into line inputs. With the introduction of Zoom’s G2.1U, there is finally a product that handles both scenarios with equal finesse! Two algorithms are built in, one for live use, and one for recording! Easily transfer your great live tone from the stage to the studio, or vice-versa!

The G2.1U features a 32-bit effects processor for a huge range of high-quality guitar effects. Three types of chorus, seven types of reverb, tremolo, bend chorus, harmonized pitch shifting, multi-tap delay, even reverse delay! Pro-quality effects for every situation, plus unmatched advanced tonal control!

The built-in expression pedal is a great way to control effect parameters in real time. Control the vintage wah, pitch shift, or adjust the volume dynamics. Go beyond conventional pedal effects by varying drive gain or modulation rate, and adjusting the mixing ratio of delay and reverb. The dedicated PEDAL ASSIGN key and status LED indicators make it a cinch to select the effect to control. Effect on/off switching is also possible by pushing the pedal fully down.

The G2.1U features Zoom Noise Reduction (ZNR) technology - developed specifically for guitar. While keeping any alteration of the original sound to an absolute minimum, ZNR shuts out unwanted noise in the playing pauses. Even the tails of long sustain notes come out beautifully, with natural release. Additional flexibility is provided by two noise gates. The vintage type DIRTY GATE is a great match for fuzz sounds, while the high-speed muting of the GATE setting brings heavy riffs into clear focus.

• MESA/BOOGIE Dual Rectifier: High-gain stack amp with two rectifier circuits (silicone diode and vacuum tube) gives punchy metallic drive sound, great for hard modern rock.
• PEAVEY 5150 STACK: The high-gain tube stack made famous by Eddie Van Halen. Produces tight bass and detailed distortion.
• BOSS OD-1 Overdrive Pedal: Overdrive with mild, richly nuanced distortion in the manner of a fully driven tube amp. Popular as a booster for giving backbone to a stack amp.
• Marshall Guv'nor Overdrive Pedal: Stomp box that recreates the distortion of a Marshall amp. Popular among hard rock guitarists as an easy way to get Marshall sound.
• MATCHLESS Hot Box: Tube preamp for creating that MATCHLESS amp quality. Fat and punchy drive sound brings out the picking nuances.
• Dallas-Arbiter FUZZ FACE Pedal: Gutsy low bass and long sustain are the hallmarks of this fuzz effect. Made famous by the legendary Jimi Hendrix. The panel design resembling a face also was a unique touch.
